Friday night at Walcott. Cool and damp. Will give the scores today and again Sunday night. Will do a full report Monday. The Host team Davenport IA opened with a 10-5 win over Lincoln NE A& L Farms. Sean Cleary was the winning pitcher. Darrin Dubsky was the loser. At Victory Park Thomson IL Thomson Area Merchants Beat Olwein IA Life of Iowa 5-1 Chris Nash took the win and Jerry Bauer the loss. Mount Horeb WI New Image beat Davenport IA Quad City Sox 2-1 in 8 innings Brent Holman was the winner and Rusty Parkhurst took the loss in relief of Al Rebling.
Elkhart IA Midwest Stampede/Albaugh beat thompson IL 9-2 Greg Anderson took the loss while Regan Manley was the winner.
Saturday pretty good weather pork chops are great. At Wescott Park Broken Bow NE Gremlis beat Lincoln NE 12-3 no details yet but will get them. At Victory Park. Aurora IL Dolan & Murphy scored 1 more touchdown than Olwein did beating them 17-10. John Sudges was the winning pitcher and Jerry Bauer took the loss. Then Elkhaet IA beat Olwein IA 14-1 IN 5. Terry Luster was the winner and Jesse Nation was the losing pitcher. a lott of hr so far this weekend. Will give more scores later tonight and tomorrow morning. Elkhart IA 3 Broken Bow NE 2. Jeremy Manley gave up 1 HIT a double by Derek Mayson drove in 1 run he scored on sac fly by Todd Budke. All in the top of the 7th. Tyson Byrne 3b 2 bb loaded the bases. Matt Palazzo singled in 2 runs. Matt Owen hit back to Middleon he threw it to 3rd the thirdbase man threw home hitting the runner and the catcher could'nt catch it. Stacey Mc Lean scored. Game over.
