Game 1

Hometown boy Keith MacKintosh also had a 2 RBI single in the 3rd inning.

Horse Lake  held a 2-0 lead off starter Ryan Brand until the 4th inning when Troy Gordon hit a 3 run homerun off starter Darren Zack.  Sean Whitten came in relief in the 7th inning to hold them down.  In the bottom of the 7th, Randy Potskin hit a sacrifice fly to plate the tying run.  Jeff Farion came in to start pitching the 8th inning and picked up the win when the Diamondbacks manufactured a run with a bunt single by Colin Schaan and a single by Brendan Pokoyoway.

Camrose Fury's Ron Head was 2X3 with 3 RBI and scored the 4th run on a ground out.

Note: Darrell Tilley had a one hitter going into the bottom of the 7th when he gave up two hits, one of which was a solo homerun by Sonny Perkins.
Camrose Fury scoring led off by veteran Ron Head in the second inning as he led off with a single was moved with a bunt and scored on an Andy Johnston single.

Bruno took the lead 1-0 in the 4th inning when Lee Huber drove in Jordie Gagnon with a single.  Th Diamondbacks came back in the 6th inning by stringing together 4 singles.  RBI's by Matt Norton and game winner by Troy Gordon.

The pitching duel remained scoreless until the bottom of the 6th when Sean O'Brien led off with a solo shot.  Aspen scored the second run when Pat MacKintosh got on by being hit by a pitch, advanced on a wild pitch and was drove in by a Greg Crawford single

Ageless wonder Ron Head lead the Camrose offence against by driving in the first run with a double in the 2nd inning.  Then he scored the second run on an Andy Johnston double.

Bruno took the lead in the second inning off 3 singles with Brent Twordik hitting in Brad Twordik who lead off the inning with a single.

 Horse Lake responded in the top of the third when Chad Ghostkeeper hit a 2 out solo homerun to tie the game. 

Bruno regained the lead in the bottom of the third when Justin Dauivin lead off with a single, advanced to second on a bunt, advanced to third on a wild pitchand scored on a past ball to the catcher.

Aspen went out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning with a 4 hit barageled by Jason Hitchings 2 RBI double and Rick Smith's 3 Run Homerun which went over the right corner of the beer tent in Centerfield.
Pat MacKintosh got on in the bottom of the fourth inning on a hard hit ball to second base that was officially scored an error.  Keith MacKintosh followed with a walk and both advanced on a hard hit single by Dean Holoien. Two wild pitches by Scott Galenza, who came in to pitch in the bottom of the third, scored both MacKintoshes.
Rick Smith then closed the door in the top of the fifth inning with a ground out and 2 strikeouts.

In the bottom of the 4th inning Chad Hanson earned a 1 out walk. He was replaced by pinch runner Ryan O'Niell.  Ryan stole second base and advanced to third when the throw went of shortstop Jeff Berry's glove and into short rightfield.  From third, he scored on a Sean O'Brien sacrifice fly to left field.  Next batter, Mike Lawton singled with an infield hit, more of a swinging bunt fielded by the first baseman.  Local, Pat MacKintosh then came up and hit a towering 2 out, 2 run homer over th right field light standard.

Camrose came back in the top of the 5th inning when Scott Galenza started a 2 out rally with a single.  He moved to second on a walk earned by Ron Head.  Both runners moved up on a wild pitch and Galenza scored on a passed ball.  Brett Kennedy then scored Ron Head with a double but was left stranded at second. Camrose threatened again in the top of the sixth inning, off Trevor Ethier who came in relief, but left runners at first and third when Travis Head hit a hard line drive to Mike Lawton at second base.

Good close game which kept the fans happy when the team with the 3 local players won in the end.  Local Dean Holoien was selected as Tournament MVP.  Dean pitched 2 wins, one of which was a no hitter, and also contributed with his bat.
