The 30 game Junior Eliminations were played under great weather conditions the weekend of July 4-5 and 6 at Toanche and Lafontaine Parks in Tiny Township.  The Scarborough Wolverines won the Junior A Provincial and Elimination Tournament by going undefeated.  In the nail biting undefeated game between Elmira and Scarborough, it took 8 innings for the Wolverines to defeat Elmira by a score of 12 - 11.  Elmira then came up the losing side by playing games at 11 to defeat Napanee and they lost the 1 p.m. Championship game to Scarborough.

 

Scarborough, Elmira and Napanee won berths to represent Ontario at the Canadians from August 3 - 10 in Owen Sound.  The Owen Sound team will also play in the tournament as the host team.  Complete results can be found at www.oasa.ca  under tournament results.  Thanks to the hosts, teams, blue crew, OASA reps and spectators for a great weekend of fastball.
