It was a great night for fastball in Walcott. As usual I worked Victory Park and Bret worked Wescott Park.
Game 1 Davenport IA Quad City Sox started with a 6-3 win over the Winterset A's of Winterset IA. Rusty Parkhurst picked up the win Steve Smith took the loss. Duke Sims and Travis Stram hit hr's.
Game 2 Elkhart IA Albaugh Inc. put a 10 spot on Walcott IA Lampliter who scored only 1. Darren Dubsky took the win with James Hartman getting the loss. Lucas Goring hit a solo shot and Tom Owen hit a 3 run dinger for Albauh.
Game 3 Davenport IA Quad City Sox defeated Aurora IL Dolan & Murphy 6-3. Al Rebling was the winning pitcher while Doug Gillis took the loss. There was an altercation between players in the top of the second. Nothing serious no ejections from that but apparently Doug Gillis who had hit two batters in that inning said the magic words to the umpire and was asked to watch the remainder of game from outside the dugout. Camden Decker hit a HR for Aurora.
Game 4 Montfort WI New Image 2 Walcott Lanpliter 0. Jeremy Holman was the winner James Hartman took the loss. Holnan threw a 1 -hitter. This game was fill with excellent defensive plays from both teams. Jeremy Holman drove in the 1st run and John Brandon the second. Had a great time as usual.
