Tavistock, ON

Just west of KW, on the way to Stratford in the heart of the South Perth
Fastball League, Tavistock Minor Ball with Dave Bailey leading the
troops, put together a 4 team exhibition tournament featuring two
ISC/OASA senior clubs the First Ontario Jarvis Gamblers, St Thomas
Evergreen Centennials, along with the Saskatoon bound New Zealand Black
Sox and the host club, Sebringville Sting.

No surprises in pool play as the Black Sox went 3 and 0, then beat St
Thomas in the first place vs 4th semi final.

First Ontario Jarvis Gamblers were 3 - 1 in pool play, losing 8 - 3 to
the Black Sox. Jarvis then beat Sebringville 2 - 1 in the second semi
final.

Travel requirements for some players meant shortening the final to 5
innings, and sore muscles and injuries to others meant some line up
adjustments for Jarvis in the final game. With Don Scott on the mound,
and Blair Ezekial at 3rd, the patched up Jarvis Gamblers defeated the
Black Sox 1 - 0 late Sunday afternoon.

Marty Grant went 2 innings allowing one hit and two walks with a single
strike out for the Black Sox
Jeremy Manley gave up the only run that Jarvis needed, on 2 hits, and 2
strike outs

Jarvis catcher Greg Courneyer lead off the 4th with a single, Ezekial
sacrificed him to 2nd, and Chad Staats singled to score Greg. In the top
of the 5th Ben Enoka had a single but was left on base to end the game.
