- Martin out of the game
- Ethier in to pitch
8:42pm
Ethier very popular with the crowd. no one out and a runner on 1b and Canada giving up two runs in this inning so far
3, Elia,  foul tip the blue did not hear, now all 4 blue holding a very private meeting - not one of the blue saw or heard it - everyone else did it appears including the press box which is very vocal tonight.
Mark Smith out to question the call - to no avail, the blue saw nothing, heard nothing - not a criticism, just going with the flow - Yes, I heard and saw the foul tip.
- Actually a good blue crew so will be interesting later to find out why they did not call it a foul tip.
3 is finally out
21, in to replace no 1, 21 is Edwin Linares, and O'Brian absolutely nails the runner at 2b who was really moving in his attempted steal.
now a big discussion on the batter, hit or not. he is getting attention from rrainer and 3 coaches but no call yet.
Are we having fun yet?
Linares out of the game, a runner in for him. Guess they did see it him.
16, Iran Paez, strikes out.
8:50pm
2 runs on 3 hits, one lob, no errors
4-3 for Venezuela

This quiet Canadian crowd became much more vocal in B5
Big crowd too.  Concession stands also long lines and the beer tent is full, the outfield stands are packed as well.

Best part of the day, I can see the score board now. Its still light out and cooling down but beautiful evening.

T6
33, Steve Mulalley, wow, he pops one up slow to mid infield, cf comes running in, diving catch, and drops it, Mulalley is safe on 2b and the crowd goes crazy.
19, Jeff Ellsworth, - pitch out but you can't fool Mulalley, he sits tight.  sac bunt moves Mulalley to 3b
12, c, with one out - Sean O'Brien. - Pounds one out to cf and scores Mulalley! OB safe on 1b - Is anyone in NL reading this?
30, Davle Levy, tie game 4-4 - running at 1b is Rob Giesbrecht - wow, another one to deep cf, the fielder kicks it and Giesbrecht scores - Levy on 2b
77, Ryan Wolfe - Mark Smith out of his dugout to make a change - Crawford to run for Levy on 2b - Wolfie, (Holoien is warming up) - nails it to the cf and is out and Crawford legs it over to 3b
6, Schellenberg, grounds to short and is out at 1b but what an inning!  great ovation from this partisan crowd
5-4 now for Canada
9:05pm

B6
18, first batter struck out
24, Joe Vilchez, manager out asking about the hit batter - no one saw that, play on - and he nails it to cf, and runs to 2B! this is a very big man, and he made it and amazed the crowd. A pinch runner in for him while they look for some oxygen.
17, John Z., and a DIP moves the runner and Mark Smith marches quick step over to see the blue at 3b. Kind of a Mark on Mark.
grounds to 1b and diving tag and nails him, out
8, 2b, John Melendez, -- as the fans above us discover just how much noise stomping their feet will make - way too loud! long at bat for John, foul tips; 6 so far; and he goes down swinging - hard! and the crowd goes nuts
Canada lead 5-5

B7

20, Carlos, high fly to lf and out
4, Pinto, caught looking
3, ss, Elis Ugueto, hit batter - actually looked like it bounced of his bat and hit his arm but he is on 1b
1, Herwing, one pitch and changed bats,  and he is out at 1b by the pitcher and a Standing Ovation from this appreciative crowd.
