The ISC is happy to announce the site for both 2011 and 2013 ISC World
Tournaments - Quad Cities. The 2011 tournament dates are August 12 - 20.
When Kitchener abruptly ended discussions for hosting us in 2011, we
immediately began our search for a replacement host. Thankfully, Joe
Taylor, CEO of Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau, came to the
rescue with an offer to host ISC in both 2011 and 2013.
Many of the 2011 details are still to be worked out but the contract is
signed. We have discussed holding all tournament games at Moline's Green
Valley Complex. Rock Island's Campbell Complex would be a back-up venue in
case of inclement weather or supplemental tournament games. Also to be
resolved is which additional tournaments will be included, i.e., Legends,
Boys U19, etc.
A Quad Cities contingent will be in Midland in August and we will meet
further with them to resolve some of the pending issues.
As an aside, we are currently in discussions with two other locations for
hosting 2012 and 2014 ISC World Tournaments. We hope to have 2012 under
contract and announced when we are in Midland in August for the 2010 ISC
World Tournament.
