Most Games Career and Most Games Started Career not only show longevity but also show that the players were on very good teams that went deep into the tournament the years they played. Also of note that ISC Hall of Fame inductee Mark Sorenson will be found near or at the top of most career catagories. Gary

We were missing all the National Softball Congress 1951-1957 Stats for batting other than some stuff from newspaper accounts. When you see guys from that era know that the stats they are credited with are what I have for them. Examples are Cleo Goyette and Clyde Woods. Had I the missing info they most assuredly would have had many more than they are credited with. These Statistics are what I had to work with. If anyone out there has stuff from the NSC SEND IT TO ME AND I WILL ADD IT. Gary
Historical Batting Averages Thanks,

Slugging Percentage a measure of a players power. I chose 65 AB because that is 5 years with 13 AB per year. If anyone out there sees an error please let me know I will look into it. Please remember that I could only use what I have for stats. I did not personally score the games so I have to use what was on the score sheets. This was several years of fun for me. Having seen most of the players from 1975 on. I was really fun to read the stuff on players before that. Also If anyone has anything for the 1974 World Tournament held in Sun City AZ, PLEASE PLEASE send me what ever you have as the only records for the year is what was printed in the 1975 Guide. I hope all of you enjoy these stats as much as I did putting them together. Gary

iscstat@hotmail.com Slugging Percent
On Base Percentage. This measures the ability to get on base whether by hit, base on balls or hit by pitch. I did not think to do OPS which adds Slugging PCT AND On Base PCT. Suppose to measure both power and ability to get on. What was I thinking. Gary

On Base Percentage
At Bats. For the Career a lot means a lot of tournament and being on teams that go deep into the tournaments. Yearly well your team played a lot of games and you were good enough to play in most of the game. Gary
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
At Bats
Runs Scored; You get on base in front of an RBI guy.
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Runs Scored
Home Runs; The power hitters number. Clyde 'Lil Abner' Woods was reputed to have been a great home run hitter. He played 1947-1957 in the NSC. Wonder how many he hit. Wish I had more NSC stats. Gary
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Home Runs
Hits; Again a career catagory that requires longevity and talent. Season requires talent. A lot of it. Woner how many hits Cleo Goyette would have had should I have had the NSC Stats.
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Hits
Doubles and Triples; Not to much to say self explanatory. Gary
Thanks,Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Doubles and Triples
Runs Batted In; To me a most important stat. Drive in a run and help your team win the game. Gary
Thanks,Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
RBI's
Total Bases; 1B+2B+3B+HR = Total Bases again a power number Divided by AB = Slugging Percentage.
Thanks,Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Total Bases
Hit by Pitch; Usually an OOP's but sometimes a message. Not that I think one of our pitchers would intentionally hit a batter. Gary
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Hit by Pitch
Strike outs; The one stat a player does not want to lead in. Note fewest strikeouts per 100 AB's leader is Ty Stofflett. Gary
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Strike Outs
Sacrifice Flys- Sacrifice Bunts; Giving yourself up for the good of the team. Kudos to those who do. Gary
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Sacrafice Flys
Stolen Bases; A useful weapon . Getting in scoring position for the next batter to drive you in. Scoring on a double steal. Gary
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Stolen Bases
Stolen Base Pct; the best at base theft. This marks the end of the Batting Statistical Leaders. Hope you all enjoy reading this stuff as much as I have putting it together. Have 8 years of my life invested in this and have enjoyed very much doing it. I t started out to be just for my own use and was not as far reach as it is now but as I got into the task I began to think everyone would love to see the results. I am only putting out the leaders now. Ihope to one day put the hundreds of pages of stats on the ISC Web Site. As I said this ends the batting. As Al is going to Erie PA for their tournament I will wait until Monday to send more stats. Maybe I can get the fielding done this weekend. If I do I will put that out next. If not I will send the pitching. Gary
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Stolen Base PCT
Pitching
Pitching - Most Wins
Here Begins the Listing of All Time Pitching Leaders. As with the batting leaders I am hostage to the score sheets and box scores. I can only take the stats from the materials I received from Hall of Fame Statistician and Historian Art Cashion.
Again as with Batting the Career pitching statistics have a lot to do with a long career. The longer you play the more stats you get. It also helps to be a good pitcher. The first category Wins. Well you do not lead in wins unless you are a very good pitcher and you must play with a good team. No matter how good the pitcher is, his team has to score at least one run to win the game.
Gary

Pitching - Games Lost
Most Losses. Longevity for career.
Thanks,
Gary Baughman I.S.C. Statistician
Most Base on Balls Allowed Bases on Ball; Control can be an issue at times. The name of the game is pitching. Bases on balls are always a problem.
For career longevity and a lot of innings will give you a lot.
For season lack of control is the issue. Gary
