 SATURDAY

0800 - a bit overcast and cool but no rain. Play continues starting at 0830.

10am - The sun is out, its cool, about 54f, and the diamonds are a new colour after truckloads of diamond dirt spread to help soak up the rain from yesterday.

1PM - Nice and bright sun but very cool.

1:30pm  the playoffs will not start until the board is updated and that will take about half an hour after all games are finished.

2:00pm and let the playoffs begin..... and I am still waiting for the match ups in the playoff  bracket. Got them, thanks Rosanne.

5:00pm and nice bright sun but its quite cool. I was just handed the schedule for the Blue and will try to add in the names of the umpires to the schedule as we go.

AAU Results - Another Rain Delay

Hard rains hit us this afternoon during games originally re-scheduled for 1 PM.  There will be no continuation of play today (Friday).

Games are re-scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM Saturday with 3-games that were suspended when the rain hit.  Completion of the round robin portion continues at 9 AM, 10:15AM and 11:30 AM.  Bracket play will begin approximately at 1:30 PM and the first round of bracket play will also be subject to a 1:15 time limit.

Assuming all of the Saturday games are played on Saturday, Sunday's schedule will be as was originally scheduled with games at 9 & 11 AM and the championship game at 1 PM.

Thursday, Jan 20

1:00pm and we are playing ball in the sun!!

The weather is fantastic (hot and sunny)

SCHEDULE AND RESULTS

This page is not finished yet but I am building it as we go. Please ignore the schedule after Thursday, its an old one. It will be updated as we go.

3:00PM  75f with no breeze to speak of.

Just waiting for the official scores to load up but interesting game I watched saw Adam Folkard upset in the 6th inning, giving up a two run shot that may have resulted in a bit too much celebrating and the next batter going down on a hit to the helmet. Classy move by catcher Frank deGroat who ducked a punch by the felled batter and held him in a bear hug while the benches cleared; no harm done. By the time they warmed up a new pitcher the curfew had ended the game.
Later, and I did not see this, I was told that someone took a poke at Folkard as he left the field.

Update: Adam Folkard and the hit batter each suspended for two games.
