I am pleased to announce plans for the 10th Annual Pete Schwab
Memorial Men's Fastpitch Softball tournament. This year's event will
be held July 15-17th in Frankenmuth's beautiful Heritage Park. In
addition, (1) berth to the 2012 ISC World World Tournament will be
offered to the highest finishing US East team.

Format: 3 game round-robin with single-elim playoff

As in year's past, the tournament will be structured for 16 teams,
3-game round robin play. Starting Sunday morning, all teams will be
seeded into one of three single elimination playoff brackets based
upon their round robin results. The winners of all three playoff
brackets will receive awards.
During last year's tournament, the Alvinston Indians (Alvinston, ON)
avenged an earlier loss in round-robin play to defeat the Lightning
(Marshall, MI) 4-3 in a thrilling championship game. Alvinston beat
Stockpack (Ashland, OH) 2-0 while the Lightning beat Mickey's Sleds
(Midland, MI) 3-0 to advance to the finals.
I have already been contacted by teams that are planning on attending
this year's event, including:

One of the reasons that this tournament has been successful over the
past ten years is the quality depth and competition of the teams that
attend. Nine teams from last years tournament competed one month
later in the 2010 ISC World Tournament. In addition, many of the blue
crew that are integral to the Pete Schwab tournament are also veterans
to the game's main stage.
We look forward to seeing everyone later this summer in Frankenmuth!
