Weather Happened while doing the second round
and it forced the stoppage of the Derby
Graig Buttar of the Cobourg Force and Steve Savard of the Donnacona Bluesox
were tied after the 1st round so they ended up splitting the prize money.
We had started the 2nd round but could not finish. Round robin started about an hour after the rains came.

It was a cool breezy day with clouds and a hint of sun throughout the day
here on the final day of the Jim Bradford Classic.
 
The day started off with the quarter finals
 
10am Oshawa Bombers  7
         Napanee Mid Express 6
Scorekeeper took the game sheet But the midgets gave the Bombers all they could handle

The midgets took them to the 7th leading most of the way
and then the Bombers ended it with a comeback win in the bottom of the 7th.

hit a line shot to the 3rd baseman to end the ball game.

Donnacona Team Quebec defeated the Oshawa Bombers 3-0 in a well pitched game by
Francis Leclair who pitched a NO Hitter against the Bombers and Ryan swift
who pitched great throughout the tournament pitching all 6 games they played.
Frank Leclair recorded 11 strike outs in the game.

I would like to thank everyone involved with the Cobourg Minor Ball Organization
for helping me this past weekend - without them this tournament
would not be able to continue. The food was fantastic (fries )

Like to thank Rory Quigley and the great crounds crew for getting us back on schedule
yesterday after the rains -all the scorekeepers and a special thanks to Rosie and Layton Dodge who score kept and announced most of the weekend.Thank you to a special group of Umpires.A special thanks to Scott Bruce ,Scott Tuttle and Giggsy for allowing me to do the tournament in Cobourg.
and to Al Doran for sitting up till 2 am waiting for the report early sunday morning (hehe)
Hopefully Cobourg Minor Ball will be on board for next year.
