2016 Junior Women's National Team Regional Identification Camps

(Ottawa, ON) Softball Canada is pleased to announce a series of Regional Identification Camps for the Junior Women's National Team program, in early preparation for the 2017 WBSC Junior Women's World Championship to be held in Clearwater, Florida.

Regional Identification Camps

(Ottawa, ON) Softball Canada is pleased to announce a series of Regional Identification Camps for the Junior Women's National Team program, in early preparation for the 2017 WBSC Junior Women's World Championship to be held in Clearwater, Florida. These Regional Identification Camps will be the only open tryouts for athletes to showcase their skills for the 2017 Junior Women's National Team Athlete Pool. The coaching staff will also be scouting/monitoring athlete performance prior to selecting athletes for the 2017 Athlete Pool.

The Camps are designed to identify athletes born in 1998-2000 who are interested in representing Canada as members of the Junior Women's National Team in 2017. Athletes who attend will have the opportunity to work with the best softball coaches and athletes our country has to offer, while showcasing their skills throughout these camps. The weekend will involve positional testing, fitness testing, and intrasquad games. The dates and locations of each Regional Identification Camp are as follows:

June 3-5 Western Identification Camp Cloverdale, BC

Regional Identification Camp Registration Fee: $100.00
Registration Dedline: Friday, April 29, 2016

Note: Athletes are only required to attend and register for ONE of these camps.

Further information will be distributed to registered athletes prior to the beginning of the camps.

Following the 2016 season, a group of up to 40 athletes will be identified to attend an Invitational Selection Camp in 2017.
