Caledonia, ON - With much sadness we announce the peaceful passing of a beloved husband, father and great grand- father, on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the West Haldimand Hospital, Hagersville.

EDWARDS, John Austin With much sadness we announce the peaceful passing of a beloved husband, father and great grand- father, on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the West Haldimand Hospital, Hagersville. Dearly loved husband of Donna (Woudwyk), and predeceased by wife Donna (Feeney). Devoted father to Colleen Vandendool (Tony), Darrel (Shari), Duane (Wendy), Denise and Dennis (Carol). Predeceased by his son John and his wife Jodi (Link). He leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Loving step-father to Sherry (Kevin), Susan Calligan, Ken (Connie) and Thea Woudwyk. John also leaves behind his two brothers, his sister, as well as many nieces and nephews. John was known as "Mr. Softball", for his pitching expertise, from Mount Hope to Jarvis and surrounding areas. He also pitched in Hamilton's big 4 league. John will be remembered for his many years of professional painting and decorating in and around Caledonia. Visitation was held in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia, on Monday, December 28, 2015. A memorial service took place in the Caledonia Presbyterian Church, Caledonia on Wednesday, December 30th.
