Four of the teams in the field hail from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) with Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and LSU. Michigan once again is the sole representative of the Big Ten Conference, while UCLA represents the PAC-12. Returning to the final eight since 2014, Oklahoma represents the Big-12, while Florida State represents the ACC.
