Exhibition Game Five: USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team 1, Cerro Gordo 0

·         An excellent effort by pitcher Derek Martin (Stevens, Pa.) carried the USA Junior Men's National Team to a 1-0 win in seven innings over Cerro Gordo on Tuesday. Martin helped USA Junior Men's National Team take the lead for good in the seventh inning. After Peyton Hall (Prairie du Chien, Wis.) hit a double to left field, Martin came to the plate with the game scoreless in the seventh inning and singled, plating Kelly Fagan-Beam (Bakersfield, Calif.) who was in for Hall.

Exhibition Game Six: USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team 9, Cerro Gordo 2

·         The night continued for the USA Junior Men’s National Team after a seven-run explosion in the fourth inning hoisted USA to a 9-2 win (five innings) in their second game against Cerro Gordo. After a first inning that left the game tied at 1-1, Zane Chason (Alma, Ga.) continued to pave the way for USA’s win in the circle striking out ten and allowing just two earned runs, five hits and three walks over five innings. The JMNT scored in the fourth on a passed ball, a two-run single by Michael Douds (Erie, Pa.), a two-run triple by Logan Amend (Vasser, Mich.), an RBI single by Jonathan Broadbear (Bloomington, Ill.), and an RBI double by Brady Parker (Midland, Tex.).
