Guelph, ON - OIWFA Deadline for Outstanding Contribution Award
(Guelph, ON) Nominations for the second ever recipient of the Ontario Intercollegiate Women’s Fastpitch Association (OIWFA) Outstanding Contribution Award are due by September 1st.  With the Association’s footsteps marked to early 2000, there are many individuals and teams that have contributed to the current success of the OIWFA. The OIWFA first started its preliminary meetings in 2000, with the first official season in 2002.
The inaugural recipient of the OIWFA’s newest and most prestigious award in 2015 was Scott Searle from the University of Ottawa.
The Outstanding Contribution Award is awarded each year to recognize an athlete, coach, administrator, umpire, or team who has dedicated outstanding, long-term contributions to the OIWFA.
Nominations for this award may be made up until September 1st. Nominations should include a detailed explanation as to how the individual meets any of the criteria on http://www.oiwfa.org/wb/pages/awards/outstanding-contribution-award.php . Nominations can be sent to the President of the OIWFA and will be evaluated by the OIWFA executive. A decision will be made by September 15th to allow for an invitation to the banquet to be extended to the recipient.
