Softball Canada Announces 2017
Junior Women’s National Team Athlete Pool

(Ottawa, ON) Softball Canada is pleased to announce the list of athletes who have been named to the 2017 Junior Women’s National Team Athlete Pool. The athlete pool was selected by the Women’s National Team coaching staff following three regional identification camps held earlier this summer and scouting at several major tournaments including the U16 Girl’s and U18 Women’s Canadian Championships.
 
All athletes from the pool will attend a selection camp June 5-10, 2017 in Cloverdale, British Columbia. From this camp, the coaching staff will select a team to represent Canada at the 2017 WBSC Junior Women’s World Softball Championship scheduled for July 24-30 in Clearwater, Florida. Selected athletes will re-assemble on July 7 to train prior to the World Championship.
 
The Canadian Junior Women’s National Team matched their best-ever finish by finishing fourth at the previous WBSC Junior Women’s World Softball Championship held in 2015 in Oklahoma City.

The athletes who have been named to the 2017 Junior Women’s National Team Athlete Pool are:

Athletes named to the Junior Women’s National Team Athlete Pool are eligible to be invited to Senior or Junior National Team training camps and selection camps. Athletes may be added to or removed from the Junior Women’s National Team Athlete Pool at any time at the Head Coach’s discretion.
