USA Softball National Office welcomes Megan Schallom as Event Coordinator


OKLAHOMA CITY —USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, has announced the hiring of Megan Schallom (St. Louis, Mo.) as an Event Coordinator for the National Office. Schallom will join the USA Softball Membership Department, where her primary responsibilities will include the management of ASA Hall of Fame Complex events, coordinating ASA Hall of Fame Complex activities and assisting with paperwork associated with National Championship Play.
 

“With the Tokyo 2020 Olympics right around the corner, now is the perfect time to start a career with USA Softball,” said Schallom.  “I look forward to working as an Event Coordinator and watching the sport continue to grow. As a player, coach and sporting goods employee, I have seen many different sides of softball and I’m thankful for the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the game!”


Schallom joins the USA Softball National Office with an extensive background in college athletics and grassroots marketing after spending the past two years working for Rawlings Sporting Goods.  During her time with Rawlings, Schallom served as the Rawlings Softball social media coordinator and assisted with customer inquiries within Rawlings E-Commerce Customer Service.  Schallom spent four years at the University of Central Missouri, where she was a four-year starting pitcher and earned NFCA Division II All-American Scholar accolades.
 
In her role with USA Softball, Schallom will be responsible for the management of events at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex, which includes assisting with operational budgets, supervising personnel, and assisting with the growth and development of events at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex.  Schallom will also work with USA Softball National Championship hosts to ensure requirements are met before, during and after National Championship Finals.


Schallom earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri in May of 2012 and obtained her Master of Science in Sport Management in May of 2014.
