Alvinston win Game 1 at home

The Alvinston Aces hosted the Highgate Rock Tuesday night for Game 1 of their best of 5 series.  The pitching matchup was Taylor Degraw for the Aces and Liam Laforest for the Rock

After Degraw struck out the side in the top of the first, the Aces took the lead in the bottom half following a Joe Triest single and RBI triple by Aaron Stocking.

Alvinston woud add to their lead in the third.  After a hard single to open the inning by Rowan Lam, back to back walks loaded the base for Jamie Shieds, who cleared them with a double to the fence.  Alvinston added a few insurance runs in the 4^th, and Degraw kept the Rock hitters off the base paths, allowing only 1 hit and striking out 11 batter over 4 innings of work in the 9-0 victory.  Cole Pavey pitched the final inning striking out 3
