Oregon enters postseason play as No. 1 team in ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll

OKLAHOMA CITY — Fresh off their fifth Pac-12 Championship in six seasons, the Oregon Ducks (47-7) will enter postseason play as the new No. 1 team in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, USA Softball announced. The Ducks supplant UCLA (50-4) atop the poll after capturing 17 first-place votes while the Bruins fall to No. 3 after nabbing two first-place votes. No. 2 Oklahoma (50-3) rose one spot in the poll this week after sweeping the regular season and Big 12 Championship tournament titles and earned the remaining one vote.

This marks the final ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll until the conclusion of the NCAA Women’s College World Series (WCWS), which will be held May 31-June 5/6 at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field.

The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is currently in its 16th year. The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is voted on by coaching representatives of 11 Division I Conferences in the 10 USA Softball Regions as well as members of the National and Local media who consistently cover Division I Softball across the country.
