USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team arrives in Houston for training and Father’s Day Tournament

HOUSTON, Texas — The 2018 USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team (JMNT) has begun a three-day training camp with exhibition games in Houston, Texas before competing in the 37th annual Mark Muesborn Father’s Day tournament. This tournament continues the team’s preparation for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Junior Men’s World Championship (JMWC), which is slated for July 7-15 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.

“I am excited as we count down to the moment we #ShockTheWorld,” said JMNT Head Coach, Tyron McKinney (Ashland, Ohio). “This training camp and tournament in Houston helps prepare us for the World Championships in Prince Albert. The JMNT will participate in a series of workouts and practices before two exhibition games on Friday, June 15 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. CT. The JMNT will open the Mark Muesborn Father’s Day tournament with a 9 a.m. CT game on Saturday, June 16 against Baytown New Era while the remainder of the schedule for the U.S. will be determined by bracket play.
