ISC Canada East Legends Qualifier recap.

Game #1 of the tournament started out with a match up of 2 premier Legends pitchers, Tim Neill for Waterdown Hammer and Todd Uhrig for the Waterloo Legends. Final score, 1-0 for the Waterdown Hammer Legends, Tim Neill threw a "NO HITTER" and Todd Uhrig threw a 2 hitter.

Both teams are new to the Legends division.

Game #3 featured Sudbury Relics making their much anticipated Legends debut with ace pitcher Ward Gosse against the Waterloo Legends.
This game was back to back for Waterloo.

Joel Belannger led the attack offensively going 3/3 at the plate for the Relics.
Ward Gosse did not disappoint throwing a "NO HITTER" in his Legends debut. Waterloo starts the tournament 0-2 without a single hit in their first 2 games.

LP - Norm Estabrooks
Rick Hames threw a nifty 3 hitter with 5 strikeouts in 5 innings of work keeping a good hitting Dieppe Ridge team off balance, Tim Neill came on in relief of Hames to seal the deal for Waterdown.
Waterdown - Chris McColl 2 hits, Joe Treist 2 hits
Toronto - Jeff Lane 2 for 3

Sudbury Relics - 11
Ottawa Spiders - 6
Ottawa hung tough and were tied 6-6 after 3 and a half innings before Sudbury flexed their muscles and took over on their way to an 11-6 win.
WP - Ward Gosse in reilef of Paul Lizzote who took a line shot to a very delicate area, Paul showed his toughness by continuing to pitch for a couple more innings before giving way to Gosse.
LP - Pierre Lalonde
Sudbury - Eddie Roy 2 for 3, Kelly Wenstrom 3 for 4 & 5 rbi. Giles Lauzon 2 for 3
Ottawa - Glen Sellars 3 for 3, Brian O;Neill 2 for 4, Pierre Lalonde 2 for 2

Game # 6
This is Waterloo's 3rd game of the tournament and they are still looking for their first hit of the tournament.
Waterloo jumps out to a great start with their first 3 hitters collecting singles, they manage one more hit during the first inning and take a 2-0 lead. So they are off and running right ?

Waterloo drops their 3rd straight loss and is in serious trouble at this point and may not make it out of the preliminary round.
Can they rebound in their final prelim game against Ottawa ?
Doun't count them out just yet, afterall they were 3rd place finishers at last year's ISC Legends World Tournament for a reason !

Waterloo comes back strong after losing their first 3 games to claim the 2018 ISC Canada East Legends Championship.

Todd Uhrig was a stud pitching 5 games and throwing three 2 hitters. Todd was named Top Pitcher with Paul Clemens earning MVP.
