BROOKFIELD, N.S. – The Shooters Bar and Grill Fastpitch League will open with a pre-season kickoff tournament on May 31 at Elk Park in Brookfield and June 1 at the Peter Smith Ball Field in Lantz.
Six teams return to the league this season, including the Brookfield Elks and Colchester Royals.

Other league teams are Shubie Lions, Headline Red Sox, Halifax Pepperjacks and three-time reigning champion White Rock Rockies. Teams will play doubleheaders on Thursdays throughout the spring and summer.
The regular season schedule kicks off on June 6 with the following matchups: Colchester Royals vs. Brookfield Elks (Brookfield); Shubie Lions vs. Headline Red Sox (Lantz); and Halifax Pepperjacks vs. White Rock Rockies (St. Croix). All doubleheaders begin at 7 p.m.
