“The U-19 schedule is very intense and exciting,” said U-19 WNT Head Coach, Heather Tarr (Redmond, Wash.). “We get to compete internationally in France and in Ireland, an experience we value way beyond ourselves not only for the growth of our team but to help expose Europe to the great game of softball.”

Members of the U-19 WNT training team will train in Paris prior to their first contest against Japan at 6 p.m. local time (11 a.m. CT) on June 21. The U.S. will then have a doubleheader on June 22, a 4 p.m. local time (9 a.m. CT) game against France and then a rematch with Japan at 7 p.m. local time (12 p.m. CT). An 11 a.m. local time (4 a.m. CT) game against France on June 23 closes out the Paris leg of the schedule.

The U.S. will then travel across the Irish Sea to Dublin, Ireland for a solo contest against Ireland’s Women’s National Team on June 24 for the inaugural Atlantic Challenge Cup. Held at 7 p.m. local time (1 p.m. CT), general entry for the game is free with some limited premium tickets coming on sale shortly. Live stats and live streaming will be available through USASoftball.com.

To assist with funds for the Paris and Dublin contests, the U-19 WNT will be conducting a one-day softball clinic on June 13 in Houston, Texas. With three separate sessions, there will be a pitchers only session while sessions for athletes ages 7-10 and 11-16 are also open for registration. The pitchers only session is limited to the first 50 athletes, while each age-specific session will be capped at 200 participants. Athletes interested in attending a clinic session can register here.

USA Softball’s participation in the Achille Challenge and Atlantic Challenge Cup would not be possible without the generous support from Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, who will be sponsoring the U-19 roster on their trip abroad, and donations from members within the USA Softball Legacy Club.
