OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, is seeking applicants for the position of Event Coordinator. This individual’s primary responsibility will be working USA Softball events at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City. This is a full-time position at the National Office in Oklahoma City, Okla. with a benefits package.
 
Interested applicants should include a résumé and a cover letter explaining why they wish to fill the position. Applicants will be screened and a select number could be invited to interview in Oklahoma City in early-to-mid August.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the management of events at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex. This includes working with outside entities that use the complex.
  • Assist with the preparation of an annual stadium operational budget in addition to tournament budgets and expense reports.
  • Supervise, schedule and train personnel including announcers, scorekeepers and front gate personnel.
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of concessions at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex.
  • Responsible for securing event revenue received from gate, entry fees and concessions.
  • Coordinate USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex activities with the Facility Maintenance Manager and Sports Turf Manager to ensure adequate personnel are available to meet any scheduled event needs.
  • Responsible for security during events. This includes assets such as sound equipment, computers, complex and parking lot gates.
  • Responsible for the development and growth of the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex event schedule.
  • Assist with the National Slow Pitch program for development and growth.
  • Responsible for working with National Championship hosts to ensure requirements are met before, during and after National Championship Finals.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of paperwork associated with qualifiers and National Championship Finals that are due to the National Office. This includes making sure that local associations adhere to Code and Procedural Manual requirements for Championship play.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
 
Education and Required/Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree desired.
  • Computer skills and knowledge required (Microsoft Office, Photoshop, etc…)
  • Event Management experience desired.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work in a team environment to assist the Membership Services Department in providing quality customer service.
  • Ability to work weekends.
 
The pay range for this position is $32,000 - $38,000.
