“I was really happy with the way we came back from the break after the USA Softball International Cup,” said USA Softball WNT Head Coach, Ken Eriksen (Tampa, Fla./Head Coach at South Florida). “The things we learned and gained during our first leg of the summer stuck with us, which we saw come to fruition in Columbus. To have the training and exhibition games against Scrap Yard Fast Pitch is obviously extremely beneficial to our team. We’re going to face great competition and some of the best players in the country and we need that challenge prior to heading to Peru.”

In Lafayette, the action will kick off on Tuesday, July 23 as Team USA squares off against Scrap Yard Fast Pitch at 7 p.m. CT. A 7 p.m. CT contest on July 24 followed by a 7 p.m. CT matchup on July 25 concludes Team USA’s Lafayette series.

All three games will take place at Lamson Park (235 Cajundome Blvd, Lafayette, La. 70506). Tickets for the three exhibition contests are on sale now and can be purchased by clicking here or by calling (800) 745-3000. Tickets can also be purchased M-F at the Cajundome Box Office from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

From Lafeyette, the WNT will head to Houston, Texas for the remaining three games of the Scrap Yard Fast Pitch series. On Sunday, July 28 Team USA and Scrap Yard will play at 6 p.m. CT and 7 p.m. games on Monday, July 29 and Tuesday, July 30 will round out the Houston leg of training.

All three games in Houston will be played at Scrap Yard Sports Complex (29607 Robinson Rd, Conroe, Texas 77385). Admission for the three games in Houston will be free.

From Houston, the WNT will head to Lima, Peru for the Pan American Games, where Team USA has been nothing short of dominant. In 10 appearances at the Pan American Games, the WNT has compiled an all-time record of 93-4 with eight Gold Medal and two Silver Medal finishes. The U.S. will be looking to take back the Gold Medal after falling to host country Canada at the 2015 Toronto Pan American Games.
