USA Softball accepting applications for National Team Selection Committees for 2021-2024 Quadrennium

Under the auspices of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and as the National Governing Body (NGB) for softball in the United States, USA Softball is announcing that it is accepting applications for the following Selection Committees for the 2021-2024 Quadrennium: Men’s National Team Selection Committee (MNTSC), Junior Men’s National Team Selection Committee (JMNTSC), Women’s National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC) and the Junior Women’s National Team Selection Committee (JWNTSC). Committee members may serve on multiple committees if they can show that they have the time available for the commitment and are selected to serve on multiple committees.

Each committee shall each be comprised of a minimum of five ( 5 ) members consisting of at least one ( 1 ) athlete representative who meets the requirements of the United States Olympic Paralympic Committee (USOPC), the head coach of the National Team being selected and three ( 3 ) members who are either members of USA Softball or an affiliated member of USA Softball. Men’s National Team Selection Committee (MNTSC) will be responsible for selecting the players and coaches for the Men’s National Team and any teams that represent the USA where the male athlete is 19 years or older (Example: U-22 and U-23).

Junior Men’s National Team Selection Committee (JMNTSC) will be responsible for any program teams where the male athlete is age 18 or younger (Example: U-17 and U-18).

Women’s National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC) will be responsible for selecting the players and coaches for the Women’s National Team and any teams that represent the USA where the female athlete is 19 years or older (Example: U-22 and U-23).

Junior Women’s National Team Selection Committee (JWNTSC) will be responsible for any program teams where the female athlete is age 18 or younger (Example: U-17 and U-18).

To be considered as a candidate for the Selection Committees, please forward a letter of application and a resume to arrive no later than Friday, August 28, 2020, which must include:

Which Committee you wish to be considered for
Your national playing, coaching and/or staff experience
Your international playing, coaching and/or staff experience
Your experience administrating national and/or international softball
The reasons you would like to be a member of the Committee
A minimum of three references including names, addresses and appropriate contact numbers
