It was an all-Bluewater final as the Aces held on for the 7-5 win over Georgian Bay Giants. The Aces' Dustin Veenhof was our Top Pitcher, going 3-0. Chepstow’s Adam Alexander was named MVP, collecting multiple hits in every game for the Aces and picking up several RBIs.

 

Thank you to all 12 teams who contested this year’s OCC at Fingal Ballpark – a terrific spot for our fall qualifier.

 

Tom Edie, Kelly Murphy and the St. Thomas Storm were wonderful hosts and we want to acknowledge them and say a big thank you for all of their hard work in making everyone feel welcome and for all of the little things they did that add up to a fantastic experience for teams, players, officials and fans.

 

Kelly put together a terrific blue crew mixing in some familiar faces with some returnees with whom it was great to renew acquaintances. Thank you to Dave Mills, Moe Carde, George Lemaich, Mike D'Abreu, Kevin Gilchrist, Dave Thompson, David Harnock and Rob Straetmans.

 

Our scorekeepers are all volunteers who do a tremendous job and enable us to provide the comprehensive score reporting. Another big thank you to Tammy Ford, Bob Todd, Darren Todd, Linda Todd, Steve Kuhl and Mary Ann Stroh.

 

As we look back on 2024, it will go down as another championship season for Canada East teams, with Hill United Chiefs winning our June qualifier and then capping an epic Championship Saturday to win their sixth ISC World Tournament. Canada East teams also finished four and fifth as Bear Creek Express and Toronto Batmen showed their mettle. In ISC II, Georgian Bay Giants played in their second straight ISC II Championship game while Cobourg Force were come-from-behind, walk-off winners in the Legends division and Sudbury Relics tied for third.

 

We also send our congratulations to Simcoe’s Rob Schweyer-Scott on his induction into the ISC Hall of Fame in August.

 

And now that they live in Ontario, we’re claiming Softball Premier’s Luciano LoFrano and Karol Doreste for Canada East! Thank you for all that you’re doing to help promote the ISC, providing so much high quality exposure for the game. And thank you to everyone who tuned into all of the coverage this summer. There will be more coming your way next year!
