The 1:00 gamefeatures 3rd place in Pool A Japanagainst 4th place in Pool B. Japan has recovered from adisappointing loss to US with big wins over Denmarkand Philippines prior totheir loss to New ZealandSimilarly Argentina had been on a roll up to it blow out loss to Australiacoming into the event Japan was looked upon as a possible challenger for amedal and somewhat of Argentina a dark horse.

The 3:30 game willsee Venezuela - 3rd place in Pool B take on the Cinderella team fromGreat Britain. The team from Venezuela has surprised everyonebut their opponents as they were not high regarded by the ‘experts” coming intothe event, but had garnered a lot of respect from their opponents. It was nosurprise they lost a tight 5-4 game Team Canadato Team Canadaearlier. Great Britainwere considered to be also rans, but proved to be very gutsy and refuse toquit.

The Championship organizers cold not are happier with the1-2 matchups. The two world hotbeds of men’s softball are North America and Oceana and we will see the top two team in eachcontinent collide tonight. They expect crowds to in the range of 7000, with theCanadian fans flooding the park with red.

NEW ZEALAND VS AUSTRALIA
The 6:30 game renewsa fierce rivalry, the traditional powerhouse New Zealand takes on what somebelieve to be the next real powerhouse, the young Australians. The questionhere is can the Steelers dynamic duo of Adam Folkard and Andrew Kirkpatrickkeep down those Haka powered bats of the Black Sox, who will be seeing qualitypitching for the first time in this tournament.

CANADAVS USA
These two rivals have been battling it out since the firstworld championship. USA haswon 5 World Championships and Canada3.Tthe Americans have come charging back winning six straight after they werethrottled by New Zealandon the first night. Canadahas not always been flashy but they got one the job done each day stayingundefeated in 7 games.
