Revised World Cup of Softball IX game schedule changed released; Gate giveaways for fans every day
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball announced today a revised 26-game schedule of the General Tire World Cup of Softball IX to be hosted by Southern California ASA held in Irvine, Calif. July 7-13 at Bill Barber Park. The revised schedule now has seven participating countries (Canada, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, USA, and Venezuela) due to the drop of Puerto Rico who had to cancel participation
due to the economic problems facing the country. A sanctioned event by the International Softball Federation (ISF), the Japanese National team will look to defend its World Cup title as they defeated Team USA 6-3 in the championship game in 2013.   Â
