OIWFA Launches Three New Initiatives for 2014 Season
(Guelph, ON) Ontario Intercollegiate Women’s Fastpitch Association (OIWFA) is pleased to unveil the OIWFA Outstanding Contribution Award. With the Association’s footsteps marked to early 2000, there are plenty of individuals and teams that have contributed to the current success of the OIWFA. The OIWFA first started its preliminary meetings in 2000, with the first official season in 2002.
The Outstanding Contribution Award will be awarded each year based on the applications received to recognize an athlete, coach, administrator, umpire, or team who has dedicated outstanding, long-term contributions to the OIWFA.
Nominations for this award may be made up until August 15th of each year prior to the presentation of the award at the OIWFA Championships banquet. Nominations should include a detailed explanation as to how the individual meets any of the criteria on www.oiwfa.org .. Nominations can be sent to the President of the OIWFA and will be evaluated by the OIWFA executive. A decision will be made by September 15th to allow for an invitation to the banquet to be extended to the recipient.
