Brad Rienguette "SHAMOU Shoot Out " Fastball Tournament

The weekend is set for the 5th Annual Brad Rienguette “Shamou Shoot Out “ Memorial Fastball Tournament . Eight teams are there for a total of 15 games in two days (Saturday&Sunday) on one single field ..The tournament gets underway Saturday morning bright and early when the JB Soxs take on the Dog House (one of the tournament sponsors ) face each other at 8am .That will be followed by an exceptional opening ceremonies to honor our departed friend Brad “The Sham “ . Then the tournament continues at 10:30 am with the final game of the day scheduled for 9 pm under the lights . Play resumes Sunday once again getting underway at am .The semis will follow at 1:0 pm and 2:30 pm followed by the championship final at 4 pm then comes the awards presentation at the Dog House . During both days there will be the selling of raffle tickets at$5 an arm length for a beautiful sports package .A food vendor will be on the premises all day Saturday .On Sunday we will be selling slices of pizza at $2 a slice from Fat Tuesday’ Pizza courtesy of Dan Bidal . There will be other surprises both days . The champions receive a cash award plus a banner and a brand new trophy . There will be cash awards for the next three teams ..The runners up also receive black rain jackets . It should be a great weekend for some very fine fastball ! Come out and see some excellent pitching ,hitting and fielding !
                                                                       Following tomorrow’s league action in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park where all four teams will be in action : at 7 pm its the Panthers and Dog House followed by the nightcap at 9 pm when the 1st place Aquatech Sudbury North Stars take on the 2nd place Garson Hounds . The regular season ends up on Monday July the 28th in Azilda at the Rick McDonald Memorial Sports Complex when the Dog House and the North Stars clash in a regular season ending doubleheader (the 1st game at 7 pm a rain out from June and the 2nd a postponed game from July ..
                                                                       The first round of a double round robin for all teams should tentatively get underway on Thursday July the 31st in Garson . Mother Weather seems to want to give us some rain on the weekend (log range forecast ) but the Gods of fastball are on our side and I think it will hold up .
