The visiting Vasey Countrymen took Game 1 of the SRFL Finals over the Wyevale Tribe on Monday evening by a score of 5-3. The winning pitcher was Shawn Heitzner with relief from Brad Robinson.  Jason Giffen and Mark Lambie took the loss. Jamie Robinson, Craig Robinson, Andy Robinson, Ben Ladouceur and Steve Eakley each drove in runs for the Countrymen. The Tribe offence was lead by Dave Drinkill who had 3 hits and Jason Giffen who had 2 hits. Giffen, Drinkill and Mark Lambie each drove in runs for the Tribe.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Thursday night in Vasey at 8pm.
