Softball Ontario Member Services Co-ordinator
 

Position Type - Full time
 
Location – Toronto – Sport Alliance Ontario – 3 Concorde Gate, Toronto, M3C 3N7

Softball Ontario is the provincial sport organization governing the sport of Softball.   Softball Ontario is a council organization and its goal is to promote and develop the sport of softball for its athletes, officials and volunteers by providing program and services at all levels of competition.
 
This position is an entry level position, ideal for the recent graduate of sports administration or related field of study.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person to co-ordinate our Umpire and Participation Programs.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Receive and respond to general softball enquiries
  • Member Service administration, including processing umpire registration fees, umpire packages and cards
  • Database Management – umpires; coaches; and House Leagues
  • Assist with financial preparation, including payables, invoice reminders and bank deposits
  • Co-ordinate Association’s School Program (Try, Active & Develop)
  • Co-ordinate Association’s Community Kits
  • Manage Association’s Product/Resource Centre
  • Update Association’s website content related to Umpire Registration, Schools Program, Product Centre and general softball information
  • Prepare all necessary reports and attend Committee Meetings as necessary.
 Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in Sports Administration or related field or equivalent experiences
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service
  • Ability to co-ordinate programs to ensure proper administration, organization and delivery
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of softball
  • Advanced computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
  • Willing to work evenings and week-ends as required
