Team Canada Ready to Compete at IX Men’s
Pan American Softball Championship

(Parana, Argentina) The Canadian Senior Men’s National Team is ready to compete at the IX Men’s Pan American Softball Championship from October 24 to November 1 in Parana, Argentina. Team Canada will play its first game against Guatemala on Friday, October 24 at 11:30am EDT.
 
The event serves as a qualifier for both the 2015 ISF Men’s World Championship scheduled for June 26 to July 5, 2015 in Saskatoon, SK and the 2015 Pan American Games that will take place July 11-18, 2015 in Ajax, ON. As the host country, Canada is assured of a spot at both events, with five other teams competing for berths for both those events at the Pan American Championship.

The Canadian Men’s National Team last competed at the 2013 ISF Men’s World Championship in Auckland, New Zealand, where they finished fifth. At the previous Men’s Pan American Softball Championship held in Medellin, Colombia in 2012, Canada came home with the gold medal with Venezuela earning silver and Argentina taking bronze.
