Re: 14th ISF Men’s World Softball Championship Call for Volunteers
The 2015 World Men’s Softball Championship will require approximately 500 volunteers to assist in a number of areas. Volunteering in this International event will allow you to meet people from all over the World, to create new friendships and to show the volunteer pride and support that exists in Saskatoon. A volunteer registration night will be held February 23rd at the Travelodge Hotel (Hercules Room) from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. For more information please contact volunteer.worlds2015@gmail.com.
The 2015 ISF Men’s World Softball Championship, is being hosted in Saskatoon, June 26- July 5. It will feature sixteen national teams from all five regions. Fifteen of the sixteen nations have already qualified, including host Canada, Argentina, USA, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala and Venezuela for the Americas, Czech Republic, Denmark, and Netherlands for Europe, and Australia and New Zealand for Oceania as well as Japan Philippines and Indonesia from the Asian region.
Volunteers will be asked to work a minimum of twenty hours through the ten day event to be accredited. The volunteer accreditation surcharge of $25.00 will provide you with access to the venue through the volunteer entrance, a souvenir clothing item and a volunteer appreciation night following the event. Volunteer orientation sessions will be held for all areas to ensure all volunteers are prepared for their duties and more importantly to become an ambassador for the Championship and the City of Saskatoon.
