Softball Canada Announces 2015 Junior Women’s National Team Selection Camp Roster

(Ottawa, ON) After holding three regional identification camps in Cloverdale, BC (May 22-24), Saskatoon, SK (May 29-31) and Brampton, ON (June 12-14), the Junior Women's National Team coaching staff has extended invitations to 28 athletes to compete for a spot on the 2015 Canadian team. The final Selection Camp will take place from June 27-30 in Cloverdale, BC.
 
The final roster will be named following the Selection Camp and the team will compete in the Futures Gold division of the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship from July 6-12 in Surrey, BC. Players will then return home before regrouping for a training camp from July 30 to August 5 in Brampton, ON prior to travelling to Oklahoma City, OK to compete at the XI WBSC Junior Women’s World Championship, which is scheduled to take place from August 9-15.

Emma Entzminger (Victoria, BC), who will be competing with the Senior Women's National Team at the US World Cup of Softball at the time of the Selection Camp and who played for the Junior Women's National team at the 2013 ISF Junior Women's World Championship, is also under consideration to be selected to this year's Junior Women's National Team.
