Welcome to Canada Day everyone!

 

There will be a lot of excitement in the air today to celebrate our country’s birthday, but it will be hard to match yesterday’s excitement at the 2015 WBSC Men’s World Softball Championship. You can read all about today, in edition 6 of  Champ’s Chatter - the official newsletter of this championship.

 

The standings are amess with 4 teams in each pool still with legitimate shots at getting the coveted extra life by finishing in the top 2.  Canada is the only team that is in for sure.  They play an interesting birthday matchup  at 3:00 with Great Brittan.

 

There will be lots of red around the park , not only to celebrate Canada’s 148^th birthday but to celebrate the 50^th Anniversary of Softball Canada. The surrounding fields will be full of minor softball players as over 100 will take the diamonds for a skills clinic and then return for an autograph session with Team Canada, following their game against Great Britain.
