July 31-August 3
Stevens Point, WI

The Circle Tap Fastpitch team ventured to the ASA National Championships
and came away with a 5-2 record(21-11 overall)and a 5th place finish. The
CT offense finally exploded this weekend and showed signs of life. On the
downside, we are now dealing with some costly injuries. Don

day. Collin McKenzie(elbow, groin) is probable for the World Tournament.

to take away from this one. Uncharacteristic errors, little hitting, and
pitching struggled. CT took a lead in the first as Kyle Magnusson
singled, with two out Don Garvey walked, Glenn Ormsby reached on an error
and Tim Jorgensen was hit by a pitch that drove in a run, Kevin Reichardt
walked driving in another run for a 2-0 lead. The Stampede pushed five
across in the 3rd on a walk, hit batsman, three hits, three wild pitches
and an error. They tacked on 3 more in the 5th on a walk, error and home
run by Brian Lammers. Don Garvey had an RBI single for the Tappers in the
5th to make it 8-3. The Stampede added two more in the 6th on a two run

Midland answered in the top of the 3rd as Calvin Miller led off with a
solo shot, Todd Moore drew a walk and scored with two out on a Steve

Game 7
#8 Circle Tap 7 #1The Farm(Madison,WI) 8
CT 7 10 1 5
FT 8 11 1 7
This was another outstanding game for the fans to watch. Unfortunately,
we let this one slip away from us twice. The Farm took a first inning
lead on a Zenon Winters solo shot. CT took a 3-1 lead in the 2nd as Glenn
Ormsby doubled and Tim Jorgensen smashed a home run. Bryan Hansen later
singled and scored on an error. The Tappers made it a 5-1 game in the 3rd

ralleyed back to even it in the bottom of the 4th.
A walk, hit batsman 6
straight hits, five of which never left the infield and an error made it a
5-5 game. In the top of the 7th CT regained the lead as DeLarwelle
smashed a solo shot, Ormsby then singled, stole 2nd, moved to third on a
wild pitch and scored on a Kelly Wenstrom base hit. The Farmers came back
in the bottom half. After a lead off strike out, Jeff Goolagong hit a
bomb to make it 7-6. Jason Hill and Karl Gollan drew walks and Chris
Delorit grounded out for the 2nd out putting runners on 2nd and 3rd. Paul
Rosebush stepped to the plate and worked the count full fouling off
several pitches before hitting a base hit up the middle scoring two and
ending the ball game.
