Millgrove Early-Bird Tournament - May 10-12, 2013

 

Rules and Regulations

 

Note: All games will be played at the Millgrove diamonds

 

1.            This tournament will use OASA rules unless they conflict with the rules below. The ISC pitching rule will be enforced.

2.            We are not requesting rosters, but please remember this is meant as a tune up tournament and there will different levels of competition. No prawn pitchers.

3.            Alcohol consumption will not be permitted outside the designated area at Millgrove Park.  Any teams guilty of breaking this rule will forfeit the entry fee, any prize money they would be entitled to and will be removed from the tournament.

4.            Any rained out games will be rescheduled as required, at the discretion of the tournament organizers.

5.            All teams are guaranteed 3 games.

6.            The mercy rule is 7 runs after 5 innings.

7.            Games will be 7 innings unless in a mercy situation or the time limit has expired. Teams should be ready to play 15 minutes prior to their scheduled game time.

8.            The time limit is 1 hour and 45 minutes after the first pitch.  The time limit will be removed from Sunday games. (weather permitting).

9.            In the event the game is tied after 7 innings or when the time limit is reached, the international tiebreaker rule will come into effect.

10.         The home team will be decided prior to the game by a coin-flip. The team travelling the furthest will call the flip.

11.         The home team will be the official scorer for the game. Score sheets will be provided and handed into tournament organizers. First and last names are to be on the score sheet.

12.         Teams must start with a minimum of 9 players and are allowed a 10 minute grace period from the scheduled start time or the result is a loss.

13.         Umpires reserve the right to eject players for profanity or intentionally trying to harm another player.  Any suspensions include that game plus the team’s next game, as a minimum.

14.         All bats approved for use in ISC play will be allowed.

Finalist:  $500

Semi-Finalists:  $100 each
