Erie Schedule - Change + BallParkRadio.com

July 26, 2010

Erie, PA

Here is the schedule for Erie.    The "All Stars" team that I had to put together as an 8th team.  I am looking for players for it, so if anyone reading this lives close enough and/or wants to come to play in this tournament,  please contact me.

For those traveling in and needing a physical address for their GPS to fields,  please use the following:  1137 E. 11th Street  Erie PA.   That is the address of the famous bar in right field that serves the chicken wings which are popular with everyone.    The Avalon Hotel is the host hotel,  as of this morning they had only a few left of the 120+ rooms I had reserved.  Call 814 459 2220 and ask for the Hillhouse tournament rate of $89.

This is a city park.. you can bring your own food, drinks, beer, etc.  Local Budweiser distributor is helping this tournament so,  drink Bud when in town!    A local High School softball team will be doing some concessions as a fundraiser.  Please be supportive.

There has been a slight change of schedule to the Erie PA tournament this weekend, which will effect Sunday play only.   The top 6 teams will advance to Sunday instead of only the top 4.    Upon thinking about it,  having these quality teams all in one location has not happened yet this year and it was decided to advance to top 6 to give more teams an extra game against the top competition and give the fans a chance to watch more quality fastball.    The first game on Sunday will begin at 8:30 am.   Championship slated for 12:30.   This should still give plenty of time for those teams and players flying out Sunday evening.

Watch for another announcment about the Erie tournament this week.
