The Saskatoon Amateur Softball Association, is pleased to announce we will be hosting 3 major national and international events this summer.

 

You are invited to our media conference to announce this special event and all the details surrounding it.

Saskatoon is at again. After hosting the most successful World Men’s Softball Championship ever, the softball community is about highlight the future stars of the men’s national team, this summer, in 3 events.

 

New Zealand International Softball Academy will be touring Saskatchewan with games in: Saskatoon July 5^th, Prince Albert July 6^th Delisle July 7^th and Fleming on July 8^th. The will be taking on the host team for the 2016 CO-OP U18 Men’s Canadian Softball Championship, Saskatoon Selects.  

 

August 9-14 2016 CO-OP U18 Men’s Canadian Softball Championship featuring the 12-14 of the best U18 teams in the country. The last time this event was here was in 2007. That championship saw last year’s world’s hero Devon McCullough pitch the Saskatoon Selects to a bronze medal. He followed that up with 2 consecutive gold medals in his next 2 seasons in the category.

 

August 10-14 Saskatoon will be hosting 8-10 teams in the U14 Boy’s Canadian Softball Championship.  This will be the first ever U14 boy’s national championship and will provide about 150 boys a chance to shine on the national stage. 

 

The conference will feature comments from the organizers as well as an opportunity to interview players and coaches from the U14 Jr Selects and U18 Selects, who will be host teams for this event.
