Kimberly to host ASA Men’s Major Fast Pitch National Championship August 4-7
Kimberly, Wis. – The best men’s fast pitch softball teams and players in the world will return to Sunset Park in Kimberly on August 4-7, 2016 to participate in 2016 Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Men’s Major Fast Pitch Softball National Championship.
A field of 16 teams are expected to compete in pursuit of the national championship crown in a double elimination format starting on Thursday, August 4. The tournament will continue throughout the weekend on the park’s Upper and Lower Softball Diamonds with the championship awarded on Sunday afternoon, August 7. Admission to all of the weekend’s events will be free.
The Kimberly Recreation Association (KRA) will be the host organization for the tournament. The KRA has hosted a bevy of prestigious men’s tournaments at the famed Sunset Park including hosting the International Softball Congress (ISC) World Tournament multiple times and the annual Jack Grafmeier Memorial Tournament.
