To the Fast Pitch Softball Community
From Dan and Susan Prichard: Baumann Tourney Directors 2004 - 2005 - 2006
Merry Christmas. We would like to thank everyone who supported the Baumann Tournament during our direction from 2004-2006. Through that event, we have had the pleasure to meet and work with many outstanding softball people. In the past month, a meeting with Billy Hillhouse proposed transcending the tournament into an ISC qualifier, which has since been acknowledged by the ISC. This can only bolster the event, and attract many other teams to attend. Bruce Baumann and Dick Van Tassell from Carpetowne are continuing their support to ensure that the tournament will continue successfully. Unfortunately, due to extenuating circumstances, we will not be able to continue as the tournament directors.
It is with mixed pleasure that we relinquish the director's duties. As with any volunteer endeavor, the amount of personal time and dedication needed for success comes at a cost to family and personal responsibilities. This fall our daughter (some may remember her from her USA & Canada anthem performances) has experienced success in the entertainment realm, and we need to be sure we are flexible to allow us to support her potential success.
We will miss the interaction with the many outstanding players and their team of staff and supporters, but we hope to enjoy relaxing time on the bleachers watching the highest quality of the fast pitch game in Erie, PA for many years to come.
