LAKE SIMCOE LIGHTNING TO HOST OASA MEN'S PROVINCIALS
August 31 - September 1-2, 2007
East Gwillimbury, ON - December 29, 2006 - It is with great pleasure that the Lake Simcoe Lightning announce that the Town of East Gwillimbury has been selected to host the 2007 Ontario Amateur Softball Association Men's Provincial Championships.
The Tournament will take place over the Labour Day weekend at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex in Sharon and the Queensville Community Center in Queensville. The Lightning expect a full lineup of teams from across Ontario with over 200 players participating. Last years tournament saw 9 teams participate.
The weekend will include exciting fastball action and many forms of entertainment for fans and players alike.
Past locations for the tournament include, North Fredericksburg, Bobcaygeon/Fenelon Falls and Wiarton.
The Lake Simcoe Lightning play in the Oshawa City and District Fastball League and last year placed first in the OASA C Division.
The tournament is open to all Men's teams affiliated with the OASA.
