Watch! Japan and Mexico in World Championship Game of the U-23 Baseball World Cup; Korea and Venezuela to battle for bronze

World No.2 Japan and No. 6 Mexico have advanced to Sunday's (28 October) World Championship Game of the II WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup 2018 Barranquilla, Colombia.

Game time at Edgar Renteria Stadium is scheduled for 7:03 p.m., with undefeated Japan earning the right to be home team against Mexico. Viewers worldwide can follow via the WBSC YouTube Channel in both English and Spanish. In Mexico, Claro Sports will be televising the game, while in Japan, it will be J Sports and BS-TBS.

In the battle for third-best in the world, No. 3 Republic of Korea and No. 11 Venezuela will meet in the bronze medal match at 1:00 p.m. Venezuela will be the home team. In Venezuela and Korea, national media giants Meridiano and SBS will be showing the games.

The winner of the U-23 Baseball World Cup will be awarded 690 world ranking points -- the largest award of any international baseball event this year and third-largest overall, following the major international competitions, Premier12® and the World Baseball Classic.

National Team rosters for the U-23 Baseball World Cup feature players within the organisations of the Australian Baseball League (ABL), Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), Colombian Professional Baseball League (LCBP), Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), Korean Baseball Organization (KBO), Major League Baseball (MLB), Mexican Baseball League (LMB), Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), Puerto Rico's Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (LBPRC) and the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), in addition to other leagues from around the world.
