WBSC to live-stream the Draw of the Softball Americas Tokyo 2020 qualifier

For the first time ever, the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) will conduct a live draw from its headquarters in the Olympic capital, Lausanne, Switzerland. Â

The draw will determine the groups and schedule of the WBSC Softball Americas 2019Â qualification event for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad Tokyo 2020. The Americas Qualifier will be played by 12 National Teams in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, from 25 August to 1 September. Â

- 10 July: WBSC will host in Lausanne the draw for the Softball Europe-Africa and Asia-Oceania Qualifiers
- 20 November: The draw for the Americas Baseball Qualifier and last remaining Intercontinental Baseball Qualifier will be staged during the WBSC Congress in Osaka, Japan.Â

The schedule of the single round-robin European Baseball Qualifier will be determined by seed. Â
