The St. John's Senior Men's Fastpitch League Would Like To Announce That Catcher Blair Ezekiel (Kelly's Pub Molson Bulldogs) Has Been Named The Molson St. John's Senior Men's Fastpitch League Player of the Month For September/October 2019.

 

Blair Ezekiel Was Instrumental In Leading Kelly's Pub Molson Bulldogs To The Senior League Championship.

 

Ezekiel Led The Bulldogs Offensively And Did An Outstanding Job Behind The Plate Defensively. He Finished The Playoffs With A .519 Batting Average (14-for-27), 12 Runs Scored, 2 Doubles, 5 Home Runs, 1 Stolen Base, 1 Sacrifice, 8 Walks, 11 RBI, .933 Fielding Percentage, .611 On-Base Percentage And 1.148 Slugging Percentage.

 

In The Best-of-5 Semi-Final Against Chayee Bourras Wines Vines, Ezekiel Finished With A .625 Batting Average (5-for-8), 5 Runs Scored, 3 Home Runs, 1 Stolen Base, 4 Walks And 6 Runs Batted In.

 

In The Best-of-7 Final Against 3 Cheers Pub Bud Light Dodgers, Ezekiel Finished With A .474 Batting Average (9-for-19), 7 Runs Scored, 2 Doubles, 2 Home Runs, 1 Sacrifice, 4 Walks And 5 Runs Batted In. His Best Performance Of The Final Was In Game 7 Going 3-for-4, With 1 Run Scored, 1 Double, 1 Home Run And 2 Runs Batted In.

 

Ezekiel Finished The Playoffs Tied With Most Hits (14) And Doubles (2) And Led The Playoffs In Runs Scored (12), Home Runs (5), Runs Batted In (11), On-Base Percentage (.611), Slugging Percentage (1.148) And Batting Average (.519). Interesting Note: In 36 Plate Appearances (27AB, 1SAC & 8BB) Ezekiel Had 0 Strikeouts. Ezekiel Was Named Playoff Most Valuable Player And Playoff Top Batter.

 

Kelly's Pub Molson Bulldogs Captured Their 6th League Crown In The Last 7 Seasons (2013-2017 & 2019) And Captured The Triple Crown Of Championships In The Process. It Was Just The 9th Triple Crown Of Championships In Senior League History (1957-2019).

Ward Gosse Appeared In 7 Of His Team's 8 Playoff Games And Was Instrumental In Leading Roebothan McKay Marshall Republic To Their 2nd Molson St. John's Intermediate Men's Fastpitch League Championship.

 

He Went 5-2 On The Mound, Pitched 45 Innings, Surrendered 14 Earned Runs, Finished With A 2.18 Earned Run Average, Struckout 85 Batters And Recorded 1 Shutout. Gosse Recorded Double-Digits In Strikeouts In All 7 Games And Averaged 12.1 Strikeouts Per Game.

 

At The Plate, He Finished The Playoffs With A .333BA (6-for-118), 3 Runs Scored, 9 Walks And 6 RBI. Gosse Led His Team In Hits (6), Walks (9) And RBI (6) During The Post-Season.
