Andrew Kirkpatrick finished his last year in u/23,s in a blaze of
glory
pitching a one hitter in the final game against Victoria and connected
for
three hits and 4 rbis.
This was his 2nd one hitter of the tournament and combined with Adam
Falkard's no hitter against NSWcountry A.C.T. went through the
tournament
for the 2nd year in a row undefeated winning the Laing Harrow shield
A.C.T. had two players from Elmira Ontario Josh Brohamn and Ben
Wideman
who
both played well on defence and with the bat.
Mat Norton did an excellent job catching and had a batting ave over
..400
Adam Falkard made his pitching and hitting precence felt early in the
tournament but came down with ear infection and was taken to hospital.
Kirkpatrick stole the show at the awards ceremonie winning the coveted
MVP
award along with top pitcher and top batter with an ave of .537
