Vancouver, B.C.
The Vancouver Grey Sox and SoCal Bombers are scheduled to play two
doubleheaders at South Memorial Park in Vancouver this weekend, June 9-10.
Lucas Mata is expected to make his debut with the Bombers, along with new
assistant coach Rob Shick, a veteran NHL referee and former standout
fastpitch player with the Port Alberni BC A's.
Games on Saturday are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and the Sunday
contests are set to go at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Although it is sunny and
warm in Vancouver today, Friday, the weather forecast for Saturday is not
promising and if the opening doubleheader cannot be completed there will
probably be a triple-header on Sunday starting at 9:00 a.m.
